These are some of the weapons that I have created for my game. In order to create them, i went online and did research about pirate weaponry, renaissance weaponry, etc. The first image is of a cannon. A cannon can be used either on the ship, for sea battles etc. As well as that it can also be used on land as a form of defence.
Next to the cannon I have drawn a cannonball. This is the ammo used by the cannons. I have done or search of the general look of the cannonballs, and came up with this design.
The next drawing is of a dagger. Since the game contains swords I have thought about adding daggers in order for missions that require the player to be stealthy. This dagger, as well as the next, are both inspired by games like Skyrim and Oblivion. I have chosen to base my daggers around these games as they are set in a roughly similar setting to what I want my game to be. The medallions hanging off of the handle could represent the player’s/enemy's guild/faction.
The next dagger is a dagger of a lower rank than the previous one. It has holes within the blade which would allow for quicker swings, therefore making the dagger suitable for good stealth kills. This dagger may also be specific to a faction within the game, making it a valuable item to get.

This page contains two musket designs. I have picked to do muskets as well as regular guns as they were used in the renaissance period, which is the period that my game is set in. These muskets will mostly be used by guards that patrol towns and castles. These long range weapons allow for better defence against raids as the guards could be able to shoot the enemies from farther away. If the player decided to use the weapon, they could customise it to suit their faction/guild.

This page contains bow designs. These bows are designed differently depending on the rank of the weapon and the player's level. The lower ranked bow (middle) is a very simile wooden bow that doesn’t have a leather grip, which would grant greater precision. However the mid-rank bow (left) has a more detailed design with a leather grip which will grant the player more precise shots. The high-rank bow has a lot of sharp edges which could be useful for bashing the enemy in a melee attack. As well as having this feature, the bow also has stronger, more stable leather grip.

This page contains two grenade designs. The grenade design at the top would be harder to obtain, this is because its a higher rank grenade that wouldn’t appear in shops around the world until the player reached level 20+ however the grenade could be found within the world at any level. The grenade also has an emerald in the middle that has blades enclosed within it, this means that when the grenade
explodes, the hidden blades will deal extra damage. The medallions would serve the same purpose that they did for the dagger, represent the player's/enemy's faction.
The grenade below the top one, is a grenade of a much lower rank. This grenade is common around the world and is also sold in the shops at a cheap price. The grenade has a leather strip around it, that also contains a pocket, the leather strip itself gives the player a better grip when throwing the grenade. The pocket would be used for when the player decides to apply upgrades to the grenade.

This page contains props that can be found within the game. I have included things like a feather pen with ink, a scroll, and burnt journal. The scrolls, that can be found around the world, contain important mission objectives. They will either contain a wax stamp or just be tied with a string. I have done the feather pen with ink because that was one the way that people wrote messages back in the renaissance period, therefore making this a suitable prop foe the game. The burnt journals can be found on shipwrecks, in burnt down buildings and near fires. They are miscellaneous props that mainly serve the aesthetic part of the game.

This page contains more props used within the game. It includes things like a barrel, journal, alcohol, cup and some books. The barrels can be found everywhere around the world. The main usage for them would be storage however, there will be barrels that contain mead and other types of alcohol. The journal represents what a journal may look like within the game. These journals are fully functional and contain information that NPC's have noted down in them. The player will also be able to find empty journals that they may claim as their own and describe their days on the sea. The alcohol bottles represent the 3 different alcoholic beverages available within the game they are, mead, wine, and spiced wine (order from left to right). The cup can be found in taverns located in cities and villages. The books will be found anywhere around the world, whether that be a camp or a town. They will contain background lore of the game.
Concept Paintings
Here you can see all of the concept paintings that I have done. The sea painting was done using watercolour paints. It represents a view that could be seen from the player's sea.
The painting of the building was done digitally using Photoshop. In order to create it I have used a technique that I have learned from a concept artist (will be explained in the "Concept Artist" document).
The character design has been created using Crayola markers. It represents a character that can be seen within the game, or even be chosen as the main female protagonist.
The mountains with a ship drawing has been created using pen ink. It represents a ship coming through the mountains and the main protagonist looking at it from the foreground.
The temple sketch has been created using a pencil and charcoal. It represents a temple that the player can turn into a base. These temples can be found in forests or in plain sight.
